Result

Spin the wheel to pick one.

Options: 12

Up to 100 lines. Repeat a line to give it a bigger chance.

Presets

Space or Enter spins the wheel when it is selected or in full screen.

Your list is saved in this browser only.

How to use it

  1. Add your optionsOne per line, up to 100: names, numbers, tasks. Or start from a preset: Yes / No, 1–10 or a class list.
  2. SpinClick the wheel or the Spin button, or press Space or Enter. The wheel slows down by itself and the result appears in large type.
  3. Pick the next oneTurn on “Remove the winner” to call on every student once. Your list stays in this browser, and Share copies a link with it.

Is the wheel fair?

The winner is drawn before the wheel starts to move, by your browser’s cryptographic generator (crypto.getRandomValues) with rejection sampling, so every segment has exactly the same chance. The length of the spin, the number of turns and the exact stopping point inside the segment are drawn the same way.

Every line is one equal segment. To make an option twice as likely, write it on two lines: the wheel then gives it two segments.

Questions

How do I make my own spin wheel?

Type or paste your options into the box, one per line. The wheel redraws as you type, the colours are added for you, and the list is saved in this browser for next time.

How do I pick students without repeats?

Turn on “Remove the winner”. After each spin the chosen name is shown, and it leaves the wheel when you spin again. “Put back” returns every picked name to the wheel.

Can I share the wheel or show it on a projector?

Share copies a link that carries your list in the part of the address after #, which browsers do not send to the server. Full screen enlarges the wheel for a projector, and Space or Enter spins it.

Can I give one option a higher chance?

Yes: repeat its line. Each line is one equal segment, so an option written on 3 of 10 lines has a 3 in 10 chance on every spin.
