Questions
Do I need any programming experience?
No. The course starts from the very first line of code, print, and each lesson only uses what came before it.
What do I need to install?
Nothing. The code runs right on the lesson page, in your browser. Later you can install Python from python.org, and every example from the course works there too.
Is the course really free?
Yes. All 16 lessons, examples and exercises are open on the site.
How are the exercises checked?
Your code runs and its output is compared with the expected result. If they don't match, read the hint and try again.
What will I be able to do afterwards?
Write small programs: add up receipts, work with lists and dictionaries, handle errors and create your own classes. The final project is a program that analyses a text. From there you can move on to files, the web or data analysis.
