delegate-skills: route each coding job to the right implementer CLI
Handing work to a second coding agent usually means losing track of what it touched. delegate-skills wraps each implementer in a bundled relay.mjs: you write a self-contained brief, the CLI edits a real working tree, the relay writes a structured result.json, and you re-run the gates and commit.

What it does
delegate-setup discovers the implementer CLIs on your machine, proposes named lanes such as feature, tests and ui, and writes config only after approval.
Eighteen *-delegate skills cover Claude Code, Codex, Cursor Agent, OpenCode, Aider, Cline, GitHub Copilot CLI, Kimi Code, Qoder and more.
Every relay returns the delegate-relay.result.v1 contract: status, exit code, signal, the implementer's report, touchedFiles and a session id.
Most skills offer a --read-only run plus --resume-last or --session flags to pick up an earlier implementer session.
codex-background keeps a Codex-orchestrated delegation pending until the relay finishes, without the model polling for progress.
When to use it
A bounded migration, mechanical refactor or removal sweep should come back as one clean diff you check before landing.
You want tests handled by one implementer, UI by another and features by a third, chosen per lane instead of by hand.
You need a read-only second pass from Codex or Cursor on a plan before anything gets written.
Ask your agent
Use $delegate-setup to find my installed coding CLIs and build a fleet for feature, tests and UI work.
Use $claude-delegate to have a separate Claude Code session fix the date parser, then review and commit it.
Use $codex-delegate with --read-only to have Codex propose a plan for splitting utils.js.
Questions
How do I install delegate-skills?
Run npx skills add amElnagdy/delegate-skills for the whole package, or add --skill delegate-setup or --skill codex-delegate for a single skill. Append a release tag to pin a version.
Does delegate-skills commit for me?
No. The relay never commits; landing the change belongs to whoever reviewed the diff. For Aider, which commits by default, the relay always passes --no-auto-commits and --no-dirty-commits.
Which agent can orchestrate the delegation?
Any orchestrating agent the Skills CLI supports. When Codex orchestrates, the optional codex-background skill handles the waiting; Claude Code keeps its background Bash workflow.
