Agent Reach: reach the platforms your agent's web search cannot
An agent's built-in search struggles with content behind logins, with video subtitles and with Chinese platforms. Agent Reach installs one command, agent-reach, that wraps tested tools for each site: if the first tool fails it falls back to the next and still returns the result as a single line of JSON.
Bilibili, V2EX, GitHub, YouTube and general web reading work right after setup, with no account needed.
Reddit, LinkedIn, Xiaohongshu, Xueqiu, Boss Zhipin and Xiaoyuzhou podcasts can be added on request; Twitter/X, Facebook and Instagram are experimental.
Bilibili and YouTube subtitles, plus speech-to-text for YouTube videos and podcasts with a Groq or OpenAI key.
agent-reach read picks the right channel from a link, and agent-reach channels lists every action and its parameters.
Plain-language management: add or remove a platform, check status with doctor, update, or uninstall everything kept in ~/.agent-reach/.
When to use it
You need product discussions from Reddit and V2EX, and the agent's own web search returns only headlines.
You want subtitles or a transcript of a YouTube video so the agent can write a summary.
You are researching LinkedIn job posts or Xueqiu quotes and need structured data rather than raw HTML.
Ask your agent
Use agent-reach to find recent Reddit threads about Obsidian Sync and sum up the main complaints
Pull the subtitles of this YouTube video and turn them into bullet-point notes
Show the Agent Reach status and add the Reddit channel
