Supabase Agent Skills: an agent that knows Supabase and Postgres
A Supabase task usually spans the database, auth, storage and server functions at once, and an agent can get any one of them wrong. Here Supabase itself ships two skills: supabase covers every product, the client libraries and the CLI, while supabase-postgres-best-practices adds Postgres guidelines in eight categories ranked by impact.
The supabase skill covers Database, Auth, Edge Functions, Realtime, Storage, Vectors, Cron and Queues in one place
Helps with supabase-js and @supabase/ssr in Next.js, React, SvelteKit, Astro and Remix, including sessions, JWT and cookies
Works with the Supabase CLI and MCP server, schema migrations, security audits and the pg_graphql, pg_cron and pg_vector extensions
supabase-postgres-best-practices reviews queries, indexes, connection pooling, locking and RLS policies across eight categories
When to use it
You are wiring Supabase Auth into a Next.js app and users lose their session on reload
A table has grown, queries have slowed down, and you need to know which indexes are missing
Before launch you want the schema and Row-Level Security policies checked for gaps
Ask your agent
Set up Supabase Auth in my Next.js app with @supabase/ssr
Look at this table schema and tell me which indexes to add
Write an RLS policy so users can only see their own orders
Questions

All at once with npx skills add supabase/agent-skills. Add --skill for a single one, for example --skill supabase-postgres-best-practices.
Can I install them as a Claude Code plugin?
Yes: claude plugin marketplace add supabase/agent-skills, then claude plugin install supabase@supabase-agent-skills or postgres-best-practices@supabase-agent-skills.
Is the Postgres skill useful without Supabase?
Yes. Its description says the guidelines target Postgres running anywhere, not only Supabase databases.
